Jean_favicon.jpg Compot Havushim

Serves Aba

While growing up, there was always Kompot Havushing in the fridge. Ema said, "Aba likes Kompot Havushim". (Nobody else liked it especially) - but we ate it....".

During the Yom Kippur war, Aba was on a base in Tzrifin, and every night, (During the "ha'afela") , Ema would  wrestle some of us kids into the car, and in the pitch dark Ema would drive to the base. Aba would sneak out from a hole in the gate, and Ema would give him his jar of Kompot (and clean Tachtonim). We were scared shitless!!
