Ema started making this chicken in 1981, when it won first prize in the Jerusalem Post's cooking contest "Dishes My Mother Taught Me". Elisheva participated in this contest with Ema's famous Salmon Loaf.
This recipe is a great way of getting rid of old, flat CocaCola. Usually Ema has left over CocaCola after Avishai and Shira are over for supper - it's Shira's favorite drink, but everybody else drinks Diet only... and NO Nachman - you CANNOT use diet cola instead!
|1||Chicken, whole (or peices)|
|1/2 cup||Apricot Jam|
|1 Tbs.||Soya sauce|
- Sprinkle garlic and onion powder on the chicken.
- Mix the rest of the ingredients, and pour over chicken.
- Bake 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
