These are the original almond cookies from Ema. For some reason she started making the ones with the slivers of almonds and stopped making the originals... If anyone knows why then please fill in. Is it because the new kind is without flour??? for Reuvendell???
- 1 cup butter or margerine (if unsalted, add a pinch of salt)
- 5 tbs. sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup chopped almonds
- Powdered sugar
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Work in flour a little at a time.
- Stir in almonds.
- Shape into cresents.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake med-high oven 10 minutes.
- Roll in powdered sugar.
